Granite

Durable. Stunning. Versatile…. Granite is a very dense igneous stone and is highly resistant to staining and scratching.

The coloration does not fade over time, leaving your granite as vivid and radiant as when it was first installed. It is most commonly used in many residential and commercial applications. We recommend resealing granite every one to three years depending on the amount of use and traffic. Common uses include counter tops, floors, patios, fireplaces, and bathrooms. We offer an array of colors in polished finish and a limited number are available in honed and anticado finishes.

Care & Use

By following the simple steps below, your stone will maintain its original beauty for many years to come. Granite is one of the hardest substances in the world, and is resistant to heat and cold, abrasions and scratches, and almost all chemicals commonly found in the home. Although granite is ideal for countertops and vanities, it can also be used as a flooring material, fireplace face, or wall cladding – both indoors and out. When considering granite for flooring, select a flamed or brushed finish for wet areas, as high gloss finishes can become slippery when wet.

Clean up spills immediately.

Use an absorbent cloth followed by natural stone cleaner. It is recommended to seal granite upon both installation and then again annually to help prevent liquid absorption and staining.

Use trivets and cutting boards.

Although natural stones are heat resistant it is ideal to protect your countertops from excessive heat and wear by placing hot pots on a trivet, not directly on the stone. Protect your fine cutlery by using a cutting board, not cutting directly on the stone.

Use coasters and placemats.

Your natural stone countertop is an investment in your home. Like fine furniture, it is to be treated with care. Protecting the stone countertop from food and drink spills will maintain the brand-new appearance indefinitely.
